Why I'm the right person
Because I’ve lived the exact transformation this retreat creates. I know what it feels like to teach from your heart and still feel unseen — to have this wild magic inside you that words can’t quite capture. I spent years trying to “figure out the right strategy” before realizing what was missing wasn’t another plan — it was embodiment.
When I first started hosting retreats 6 years ago I noticed the same clients coming back, year after year. They would follow me to places around the world: to Morocco, to Sri Lanka, to Portugal, to Greece, it didn't matter where. Signing up to the next retreat became a no brainer for them, because they saw me as the only option, and not just another teacher on the internet. That's when I realized I had a movement of students who loved my work and who they got to become inside the experiences I created. And that started happening inside my online programs and mentorship as well. My clients kept signing up to all the courses I would launch, resign for another 6 months in my mastermind even before their contracts ended, join me to whatever I created even after I tripled my prices. I realised that it wasn't only about what I was teaching per se, but my gift as a leader, and the culture I created inside these spaces, making them feel like home, like they belong.
Becoming a leader is a skill that can be learned.

Hi! I'm Karol De Souza,
I am the face behind The Abundant Yogi Mastermind. And the reason why I know exactly where you're at right now is because I have been there myself. Different from the many coaches out there I have both hands on experience: In one hand I have a very successful yoga business hosting international retreats and traveling the world to teach since 2017 and on the other hand I come from a business background. That has allowed me this funky mix of yoga teacher and business coach. Just as most of my clients and probably you too, I quit my corporate career to pursue my passion for teaching yoga. I soon realised that I was on the constant chase for money and a non-ending busy schedule of classes, but even worse, without getting paid holidays, sick leave and health insurance. When I first started leading retreats I realized that was my life calling and quickly stepped back from low paid classes in studios to dedicate myself to hosting life changing retreats that allowed me to have more time for myself and more financial security for my yoga business. This was specially important this year in 2025 when I gave birth to my first son Leon. I still managed to get paid, go on a month campervan trip with my family and we will soon leave for a 3 months tropical getaway this upcoming winter. And that's the least interesting thing about my life... what really blows my mind is to see my students inside the retreats changing their lives, quitting jobs, moving countries and falling in love with who they become inside my experiences. And my clients inside my coaching flourishing to become the leaders they're meant to be and doing exactly the same for their students. I like to think that, in a way, this is my contribution to make the world a better place, and that's my ultimate mission.

Ondina is a heartfelt family owned Villa, offering a peaceful retreat by the ocean, where you can enjoy mindful moments with an authentic Portuguese hospitality. This cozy and charming Bed & Breakfast is located in the outskirts of Ericeira, a beautiful fisherman village home to surfers, yogis and like minded creative souls. It is located only 35 minutes from Lisbon airport, and its surrounded by lush green landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean. The property is at one stone throuw away from the ocean, maybe like a 5 minute walk max, and our yoga shala has the full ocean view of São Lourenço beach.

Nourishing our bodies with delicious food while chatting with other teachers and coaches, getting inspired by everyone's work and having the biggest AHA moments about your business over daily conversations while filling your body and mind with energy and joy for life.
