Baba Ganoush Recipe

Baba ganoush is a Middle Eastern dip made of eggplant and spices. It's super easy to make and a great party trick to serve with warm bread, or as a filling in a sandwich.

Traditionally the eggplant is burned in coal or a fire pit. I have made my recipe in the oven and used smoked paprika for the smoked touch.

Let's get to the recipe!


1 big eggplant

1 garlic clove

2 tblsp of tahini

1 tsp of smoked paprika

1 tblsp of olive oil

Salt & pepper to taste

Parsley & pitta bread to serve


Stab some wholes into the eggplant and place it in the oven at 200 degrees for 30-40min or until completely soft inside. Carefully slice the eggplant in half and scrape out the eggplant from inside the skin. Use the hand blender to mix the other ingredients, chop some parsley on top and serve it with warm pitta bread. Optionally you can also sprinkle some zatar spice mix and crumble some feta cheese on top before serving. Enjoy!
